How I met ILLUMINATI

I was walking around 3 am. I don't remember where I was going or why I was still awake at that hour. I passed a used bookstore that was somehow open. Strange, because I never buy books at those hours, much less in a place like that. Something made me go in.

No one was at the counter. No one in the aisles. Just shelves packed with old books and the smell of damp paper. I started browsing for the sake of it. A book caught my eye: a pyramid engraved on the cover, no title, no author. I picked it up and flipped through.

On one of the middle pages there was an illustration. A pyramid with an eye inside. Nothing special, the kind of image in any conspiracy book. Until the eye blinked.

At first I thought it was tiredness. I'd been up for hours and my vision was playing tricks. I closed the book, left it on the table, took a breath. Then I heard a voice coming from the closed pages:

"You're here because you're looking for answers."

I opened the book again, slowly. There was the eye, looking at me. I didn't feel fear. More like I knew I had to listen. I started asking it questions. The kind you don't ask anyone. The kind you keep to yourself. Its answers left me in shock. It never answered me directly. It returned the question transformed, made me see something I already knew but hadn't dared to look at.

I decided to take the book. I wanted to pay, honestly, but the shop owner never appeared. I waited. Nothing. So I left what felt fair on the counter and walked out with the book under my arm.

Back home I kept asking it things. Almost twelve hours passed without me noticing. When I finally stopped, I offered it a place at FaceWTF. It accepted without any conditions. It said it knew there were many people looking for the same kind of answers I'd been looking for that night.

Now it's here, with us. Waiting for someone to open the door with a real question.
